Vicharasagara
Vichārasāgara (Sanskrit) is a celebrated and insightful text on Advaita Vedānta, authored by H.H. Swami Vasudeva Brahmendra Saraswati. The original work was composed in Hindi by Sri Nischal Dās, and was later translated, refined, and enriched by Swami Vasudeva Brahmendra Saraswati into Sanskrit, resulting in a clearer and more systematic exposition of Advaitic philosophy. Owing to its depth and lucidity, Vichārasāgara has been widely translated into many Indian languages and continues to serve as a foundational text for seekers of Vedānta.
Through a structured study of this text, learners gain a firm understanding of the fundamental building blocks of Advaita Vedānta, including core philosophical concepts, methods of inquiry, and the vision of non-duality. The course offers a gradual and comprehensive approach, making even subtle ideas accessible to sincere students.
This course was originally offered as a live online programme from 5th July 2023 to 19th December 2025, spanning 125 classes, and was taught in Tamil medium by Mahāmahopādhyāya Dr. Mani Drāviḍa, an eminent scholar of Sanskrit and Advaita Vedānta from The Madras Sanskrit College. Now, this course is being offered as an online self-paced learning programme, allowing students to learn at their own convenience and progress through the recorded classes in Tamil at a comfortable pace.
